As the predator population increases, so will the damage to our livestock and our food chain. Managing the numbers of predators in an area is a delicate balance that must be approached with a plan and purpose, as well as maintained once the balance is reached. In short, just opening up your land to hunters to reduce predator numbers can be one of the worst things you can do, we will explain why later. A better alternative is to bring in a license nuisance operator that specializes in predators, have them go over a plan with you for your property, and implement a strategy.
Predator Precision was founded in 2017 by Jeff Turner.
Mr. Turner has an extensive background in long range shooting as a retired Police Officer of 27 years. Mr. Turner also understands livestock management growing up on a farm, giving him a unique perspective from both sides.
One of the primary concerns of land owners in predator management, especially night operations, is liability. Throughout Mr. Turners career of 27 years, he served on numerous task forces, and operated in a specialized unit (K9 Unit) 25 of his 27 years. This not only gives him a unique skillset with understanding coyote behavior, but also a training resume far superior to any hunter that does not have specialized training.
Predator Precision holds a nuisance operator license through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, as well as an independent insurance policy that covers their operations. This allows them to operate without placing liability on the land owner.
We provide predator management to the Dayton Ohio area. We specialize in rural environments and working around livestock; however, we will take on projects in an urban location if it is feasible.
We utilize the newest technology in thermal imaging. We utilize long range precision rifles, equipped with a suppressor. We also unitize thermal scanners so that the exposure of the firearm is minimal until needed.
We are happy to show clients our equipment in advance, and make them feel at ease once they see the level of equipment we are using. Being in the industry of selling this equipment, it gives us access to the latest technology, as well as the resources to get our hands on equipment that no one else in the area has.
Once we address the predator issue on your property, we are happy to give you tips on preventing the problem in the future, as well as having us come by occasionally and scan your property to determine if the predators have returned, and determine this before there is damage.
